VICENZAORO Spring 2013: International Excellence and New Design Talent
VICENZA, Italy, May 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
The international jewellery business hub, VICENZAORO Spring - at Fiera di Vicenza until 22nd May - is the meeting place for producers and buyers from over 70 countries worldwide and will be attended by 1400 brands from the leading Italian gold districts and 30 foreign nations. Delegations from the most important gold and jewellery markets are expected to attend: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Israel, Morocco, the Middle East. These figures were revealed in advance by the newly elected President, Paolo Mantovani, at a meeting with the international press on the first day of the Show.
"My vision of VICENZAORO," said President Mantovani, "is of a Trade Fair that acts in partnership with companies and buyers by providing innovative services, qualified training possibilities, orientation and support towards internationalisation, networking and new distribution systems. In the global economy, knowing how to link business with a set of traditional, socio-cultural territorial values, is a competitive advantage. Exporting products and goods is not enough. One must know how to sell stories, emotions and values. I imagine a Trade Fair that helps its own traders to promote their quality assets so as to compete successfully on the global market."
VICENZAORO Spring 2013 is able to capture the attention of the jewellery market on a global scale. It is also an extremely ripe moment for checking on the progress of the sector in view of forthcoming first semester results. This Edition, with its full programme of international Events, confirms Fiera di Vicenza's central role in the world exhibition system.
"The Spring Edition of VICENZAORO focuses its organisation on themes linked to internationalisation and includes a whole number of important topics, from Corporate Social Responsibility to attention to global competition, innovation and jewellery trends" said Executive Director of Fiera di Vicenza Corrado Facco.
One of the most prominent events is the "Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards 2013", now considered as the Jewellery Oscars, with eight award-winning categories from best designer to best advertising campaign, from the use of the new media to corporate social responsibility and retailing. Another absolutely international and contemporary event is the final phase in the "Next Jeneration - Jewellery Talent Contest 2013", an international competition with over 120 entries and organised in collaboration with the School of Design of Politecnico di Milano, that awards the ideas of young designers.
