The 4th edition of The New York Forum will be held this Sunday September 21st at The New York Public Library on the eve of the United Nations General Assembly.
Participants will work together to develop concrete initiatives around two pressing topics :
- Is technology killing jobs?
- What will be the economic impact of climate change?
The interactive format of The New York Forum 2014 allows each of the participants the opportunity to take an active role. The New York Forum will bring together key economic stakeholders including seven co-chairs:
- Pierre Blayau, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, AREVA
- Barry Diller, Chairman and Senior Executive, IAC/InterActiveCorp
- Henry Paulson, Founder and Chairman, The Paulson Institute and former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury
- Martin Sorrell, Chief Executive Officer, WPP
- Lawrence H. Summers, President Emeritus of Harvard University, Charles W. Eliot University Professor and former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury
- Alejandro Toledo, President of Peru (2001-2006)
- Katherine Wylde, President & Chief Executive Officer, Partnership for New York City
Several heads of state and members of government will also be actively participating in The New York Forum.

At the close of the New York Forum, The New York Forum Institute will issue a white paper outlining a consolidation of intiatives and recommandations from the day's discussions. The white paper will be presented during the United Nations General Assemby week, the G20 summit in Australia, the Summit of the Francophonie happening in November in Dakar (Senegal) and the 5th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, started by President Barack Obama, which will be held November 19-21 in Marrakech (Morocco).
