Cliff Hockley, Executive Director of SVN/Bluestone & Hockley, owned and operated Bluestone & Hockley Real Estate Services for 24 years. During that time Hockley built his firm, an independent commercial real estate company providing property management and commercial brokerage services, into a significant regional player in the Portland market. Even with measured success, Hockley lost business to large national firms in his area because of the perception that Bluestone & Hockley was small and local. In order to compete for larger listings, and increase Advisor recruitment, Hockley knew he needed a platform that would garner his firm national reach and exposure.
To achieve his goals, Hockley opened a SVN franchise in June of 2011. Upon joining, SVN/Bluestone & Hockley was grossing about $715,000 in brokerage revenue.
