GeoPost Invests in International Logistics Provider

GeoPost, a leading express parcel provider in Europe, has taken a stake in international logistics provider, Worldnet Direct, which is bringing to market an innovative international delivery solution that has been developed specifically for online retail.  Worldnet, an owner operated business, will continue to operate as a standalone business but will benefit from access to the resources and support of its global partner.   The Worldnet service will initially operate from the UK, available directly from Worldnet and also through the two UK GeoPost brands, DPD UK and Interlink Express.  Over time the model will be rolled out across Europe.

Despite the full launch not being scheduled until 2013 a number of retailers are already using the service, keen to take advantage of the unique service attributes such as the cost-effective return solutions and the paperless customs service.

The first retailer to realise the opportunities found when working with Worldnet is ASOS. Having worked in partnership since 2011 Worldnet has played a key role in the company's well documented global success.
