DELFT, the Netherlands, November 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Firelay, a new Liferay managed hosting platform, has been announced at the 2012 Liferay Europe Symposium in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The Firelay products, introduced by company Proteon, are especially designed for Liferay integrators who want to offer their clients a reliable managed hosting platform. The standardized product range of Firelay delivers straightforward solutions for any Liferay configuration imaginable.
Working for more than 15 years in the open source managed hosting business, Proteon discovered that Liferay developers are looking for a qualified partner who can take care of the hosting and maintenance of their applications. Furthermore, over the past years there has been a phenomenal growth of Liferay throughout the world. Recognizing the hosting industry does not contain many specialized companies with extensive Liferay knowledge, Proteon decided to develop the Firelay platform.
Firelay is fully optimized for Liferay and features all functionalities the Liferay Portal Enterprise Edition offers. It supports custom plugins, deployment using versioning systems (e.g. SVN, GIT), has a scalable setup with a monthly subscription and 24 x 7 x 365 monitoring. The Firelay platform is running on datacentres based in Europe.
Beta Program
The first Liferay integrators have already signed on to the Firelay Beta Program. With their experiences and feedback Proteon is able to fine-tune the products for the official release. Liferay integrators who cannot wait to join, can visit the Firelay website for participation.
