ERPScan 2.1: Revolution in SAP Security Monitoring Solutions
ST PETERSBURG, Russia, October 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
ERPScan, one of the key players in ERP security, has released the version 2.1 of their Security Scanner for SAP, which is currently the only solution on the market to assess and monitor 3 tiers of SAP security: vulnerability assessment, ABAP code review, and SoD conflicts. The solution will be presented to the market at one of the biggest European conferences: IT-SA, held in Nürnberg on October 16-18, where ERPScan will occupy the booth #553.
ERPScan for Consulting
SAP security assessment, according to our experience, usually takes quite a long time. Additionally, the complexity of the system and large amount of different installation types require the participation of specialists from various fields of security. Before ERPScan, you needed to have 3 or more different solutions to assess SAP security: one for vulnerability and configuration assessment, one for ABAP code review, and one for SoD conflicts, critical authorizations and compliance. Now, there is an all-in-one solution. The latest ERPScan module has just been released, which allows you to analyze Segregation of Duties conflicts as well as check your system for critical authorizations in various areas like HR, Revenue, Expenditure and more. While SoD problems were covered by some tools before, ERPScan allows you to expose them remotely from the assessor's laptop without installing anything on the SAP server, so it can easily be used by companies which perform complex security assessments and wish to decrease their expenses. The other modules, namely ABAP source code review and Audit, also work remotely, so ERPScan partners can enjoy the best solution to analyze the security of their clients with minimal time and effort.
"SAP Security is a hot topic now. You know, more than 30 talks about attacks on SAP security are expected at technical conferences in 2012, while in 2006 there only was one. Some tools like Metasploit have developed modules to exploit SAP. More and more people and companies are starting to research this area. However, until recently, there was no solution which could automate all SAP security checks. The problem was that penetration testers are focused on vulnerabilities and consultants are focused on business roles. We made a revolution in this approach by releasing ERPScan 2.1. This is all-in-one software that has every necessary feature, so companies can achieve maximum security of their solutions with one product. It will decrease TCO and make assessments complete" - commented Alexander Polyakov, ERPScan CTO.
ERPScan for Enterprise
ERPScan was designed to work in enterprise systems and continuously monitor multiple SAP systems. It means that the system has client-server architecture, which is easy to use and scalable for large networks. It is multi-user and granulated, so you don't even need to send your reports over to your colleagues: just give them access to ERPScan with restricted rights, and they will access all results within a nice GUI.
ERPScan for EVERYONE
Last but not least. We have checks for more than 6000 misconfigurations and access control issues: from web services and Portal documents to direct access to tables and critical authorization checks; more than 300 vulnerabilities, 100 0-day issues, and 65 checks for different issues in ABAP code.
"We made a revolution in SAP Security keeping all competitors behind, - said Ilya Medvedovsky, CEO of ERPScan. - On one hand, we have a very strong corporate web-based solution, which uses very flexible internal user model and client-server technology that is very easy to deploy and support in a large corporate network. The system is easily scalable for an enterprise of any size, and huge amount of SAP scanning data can be processed by ERPScan engine if necessary. On the other hand, it is very easy to use for consultants or pen-testers even in case of a one-time SAP security assessment project".
For those who are interested in details, we have prepared a webinar on October 24, and you are welcome to attend it.
