This triumph is powered by an online fan community sharing over 200,000 gameplay clips. Installations for the local multiplayer game total 1.7 million on the App Store (launched May 14, 2015). The largest markets are the USA, Russia, Australia, China and the UK.
Self-published by Dodreams Ltd., 'Drive Ahead!' reached the #1 position for all games in 20 countries and Top 5 ranking in 125 countries on iPad download charts at launch. Retention is high of 62 % for Day 1 and 31 % for Day 7. Median session length is 3.3 minutes and 500,000 daily active users play 3.1 times a day on average.
'Drive Ahead!' is a local multiplayer game, where players battle with off-road cars, garbage trucks, go-karts and more. Users can complete daily challenges in single-player mode. They collect virtual credits to unlock more cars and arenas in an in-game casino.
The game is based on a concept created by developer Jari Räisänen. "When testing, playing caused such loud laughter and shouting that I had to move our team into a soundproof room. That's when we knew we had a hit on our hands", says CEO Erik Pöntiskoski.
