- Leading Colombian companies to meet with the international investment community in New York City and London - September 15-20
BOGOTA, Colombia, Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third consecutive year, Colombia Inside Out, hosted by the Colombian Securities Exchange (BVC) and Deceval, and sponsored by Citi, will serve as a forum for leading investment and business professionals in each market to understand and become more informed of the benefits that the Colombian economy and securities market can offer to the international investment community.
Colombia Inside Out will feature a series of private meetings with the investment community on the first day, followed by a conference on the second day, in two of the world's most important financial centers. The first event will take place in New York City at the New York Palace on September 15 and 16, and the second will be in London on September 18 and 19 at the InterContinental London Park Lane.
Juan Pablo Cordoba, CEO of the BVC, explained that, "Colombia has accumulated an average growth of 4.3% in GDP in recent years and has shown the conditions to maintain this indicator in the future. This opens opportunities for visiting international investors to find the best way to do it."
According to the organizers of Colombia Inside Out, at this year's event they will be joined by Colombia's Minister of Finance, Mauricio Cardenas, as well as C-level executives of the market's leading companies, including AviancaTaca, Bancolombia, BVC, Canacol, Celsia, Conconcreto, Ecopetrol, EEB, ETB, Financiera de Desarrollo National, Grupo Argos, Grupo Exito, Grupo Nutresa, Grupo Odinsa, Grupo Sura, ISA, Isagen and Pacific Rubiales Energy, who will attend and meet with representatives of the world's most significant investment funds.
Deceval's CEO, Jorge Hernan Jaramillo, explained that, "This is relevant to the investors' community to enhance their knowledge of Colombian issuers, as well as to better understand the main challenges to Colombia´s capital market infrastructure and its objectives for the coming years."
Also, Citi Colombia's CEO, Bernardo Norena, said, "With Foreign investors today representing 30% of daily equities flows - when three years back they represented less than 5% of them - the value of this event, and thus our compromise in sponsoring it for the 3rd consecutive year, is clear. Capital markets are global and Citi is committed to their development where we have relevant operations."
