NEW YORK, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hans Fonk, co-founder and publisher of OBJEKT International, has named interior designer Sasha Josipovicz as the first honorary editor-in-chief of OBJEKT USA-CANADA. The new North American magazine edition will cater to the urban modernist with a passion for design, art and antiques, and outstanding architecture.
"OBJEKT is expanding its presence in North America and after 15 years of creative collaborations with OBJEKT, Josipovicz will assist with developing key relationships in support of this expansion. I am confident the magazine will continue to flourish with his creative ideas and work ethic," says Mr. Fonk.
A frequent media commentator on interior design, décor and living in style, Josipovicz is a master of the bon mot. His design work with Studio Pyramid Inc. has been featured in major publications including Interior Design, Architectural Record, Domus, Wallpaper and OBJEKT. Josipovicz was born in Belgrade, Serbia and was introduced to classical architecture and Byzantine aesthetics at an early age through his family's engagement in the preservation of historical monuments from Ancient Roman to Ottoman Empire colonialism. He studied economics and archaeology before emigrating to Toronto, Canada and graduated from the prestigious American International Academy of Interior Design.
Josipovicz supports such nonprofit organizations as Tribute to Liberty, PETA, and Machik.
