The calendar, published under the motto "make love not war", features 20 Golden Girls dancers, and is against the war in Syria. Each month shares an anti-war slogan:
The calendar is dedicated to Putin by the owner of the club, Sergey Lee, and the girls have chosen to honour him as the main peacemaker among all world leaders. Due to him, escalation of the war in Syria has so far been averted.
The calendar is not a commercial product. A limited number of the calendars will be published for the guests of the club and two special copies, one of which we would like to send to Vladimir Putin and another copy in English to the US embassy in Moscow, with a request to send it to Barack Obama.
Sergey Lee said: "I know that many people will not believe that such serious problems may be of any concern to our girls, but I speak to the girls every day and we discuss everything that is of any interest to them. At one such meeting one of the girls told me that the problem of the war in Syria may concern anybody. I decided to ask several girls if they know anything about the situation in Syria and was surprised to find out that many of them know much about it and are concerned about this possible war. After this meeting I decided to make a calendar in order to show that the girls from our club are much more serious than they may seem to be and to attract the attention of the people from all over the world to the Syrian problem. We dedicate our calendar to Vladimir Putin because he continues to defend peace and due to his efforts the war hasn't started yet."
