LONDON, September 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Bingo Find have just released a new infographic taking an in-depth look at the betting scene in the United Kingdom, highlighting how both online and offline gambling has grown in recent years.
The infographic, entitled 'UK Betting: An Infographic Look at the Betting Scene in the UK', looks at betting participation by gender between 2009 and 2012, as well as visualising the most popular betting activities and remote gambling methods, using in-depth data from the UK Gambling Commission.
The infographic demonstrates how gambling participation for both men and women increased steadily between 2009 and 2011, before dropping for both genders in 2012 (most prominently for men, with participation falling from 61.3% to 58.1%).
In addition, the infographic shows that National Lottery products, including both scratchcards and lottery tickets, are by far the most popular gambling activities in the UK. Conversely, table games in a casino are the least popular.
The infographic also shows how remote gambling has increased, showing UK usage statistics from 2006 to 2012. The most notable form of remote gambling comes through an internet connected PC, laptop or handheld device, which has increased consistently year on year since 2006.
