YLD Announces New Appointments to Advisory Board
LONDON, December 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
London-based software engineering consulting firm, YLD, has announced that entrepreneur and former Axon Director, Stuart Hamilton, along with PayPal's VP of Next Gen Commerce Bill Scott, have joined the company's Board of Advisors.
Stuart Hamilton was a Director of Axon from startup to IPO to FTSE 250 and $700M exit. The business transformation and systems implementation consultancy grew from startup to full IPO in less than five years without needing any external funding. Stuart was responsible for continually developing and implementing Axon's growth strategy, responding to changing market needs and entering new sectors and geographies. He also led the largest sale the company ever made; valued at several hundred million dollars.
Aside from Axon, Stuart holds a PhD from Imperial College, London. He has been bringing his knowledge of proposition development, sales and business strategy to many technology companies for over a decade. Stuart will be instrumental in helping YLD shape its strategy, serve its customers and grow its business in the years to come.
Bill Scott leads PayPal's Next Gen Commerce Team, a small cross-disciplined team of product, design, engineering and business strategy members. This team tackles cross-cutting, strategic commerce and financial services initiatives. Bill has a wealth of experience in business transformation and his teachings have been instrumental to YLD as a company.
For 30 years he has focused on roles in both engineering & design, specialising in user experience, user Interface, general site usability, and software development, and working for leading companies such as PayPal, Netflix, and Yahoo.
His broad expertise and business insight will be of great use in helping creating a YLD practice that builds the future of the enterprise with a strong emphasis on innovation and user experience.
Upon their appointment, Nuno Job, CEO and founder of YLD said: "Stuart and Bill both have the qualities of successful and driven individuals, in addition to sharing similar ambitions for YLD. Their backgrounds and extensive experience in growing technology companies will undoubtedly guide YLD where it needs to go, and I am eagerly anticipating their input."
"Nuno and the YLD team are focused, committed and talented, their customers are delighted and demand for their skills is strong," said Stuart Hamilton. "I'm looking forward to doing all I can to help them continue to develop their proposition and grow a great business."
"One of the things I am most proud of accomplishing at PayPal was revolutionising the entire front-end engineering stack onto the Node.js platform as well as changing the way we see design, product and engineering working together," said Bill Scott. "Since that time PayPal open-sourced its efforts and became a leader in Node in the Enterprise. This is why I am excited to be a part of YLD's work as I see it as an extension of making enterprises better worldwide."
