Veracode Claims 'Information Security Product of the Year' for its Veracode Platform

LONDON, April 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Veracode, Inc., the leader in application security services, was awarded 'Information Security Product of the Year' at the SC Awards dinner held during InfoSec Europe. The company was also one of four finalists for the 'Best Security Solution in Financial Services.'  The SC Awards recognise industry-leading products and companies that deliver IT security solutions. 

The Veracode Platform was selected over many industry stalwarts, including Qualys, Informatica Corporation, Cyber-Ark and Absolute Manage.

A panel of judges from the highest levels of the information security profession evaluated the largest number of entries ever received by organizers.  The judges are selected for their experience and impartiality and drawn from the senior ranks of the information security profession. The organisations they work for include major European and global brands, including investment and retail banks, retail groups, airlines, insurance groups, and food groups as well as prestigious government departments.

The entries were judged based on a combination of business, technical and financial criteria, including:  effectiveness in addressing a specific market need; ability to drive a competitive business and technical advantage; and impact on revenue and profitability.

A total of 24 awards were given out at the awards, held at London's Hilton Park Lane.
