Sirius Solutions Names Simon Reid as Director in London

Sirius Solutions, L.L.L.P. (Sirius Solutions), an independent business consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Simon Reid as Director in the firm's Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) Services practice. Based in London, this expansion results in additional commodity trading and risk management knowledge for Sirius Solutions to serve energy, financial and agricultural market clients. In his new role, Reid will assist clients by delivering business and technology strategic advisory services and creating solutions unique to commodity and energy supply and trading.

Reid has hands-on experience with proprietary trading as well as operations management within financial and energy markets.  In addition, he has extensive expertise from leading the design and delivery of technology solutions to meet complex business requirements and corporate objectives.  Prior to joining Sirius Solutions, Reid served as Vice President & Global Head of Agriculture and Energy for Eka Software Solutions.  In this role, he had P&L responsibilities for this new energy market entrant, including the development and launch of a new software product.  Reid has also held management positions with Allegro Development, ABB Financial Energy AB and Guinness Mahon Capital Markets.  While at Allegro he successfully established the company as a top-tier ETRM vendor in the EMEA region, with consistent annual growth in revenues and market share.  He holds a B.Sc. (Honors) in Banking and International Finance from the CASS Business School in London.
