SEATTLE, February 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
Shield UI is a rapidly growing software component vendor, popular with its wide range of data visualization components for developers who want to embed powerful graphs in their web projects with minimum effort. The company just announced the release of twelve new UI controls, which aim to boost the component offering and complement the flagships of the suite - the chart and grid controls.
The new set of widgets includes different input controls, such as buttons, auto-complete, checkbox and radio button. Each one is fully customizable through a rich set of options, functions and events. Additionally, the dropdown, combo box and list box controls allow different degrees of layout rendering options and enable the achievement of fully immersing user interactions and rich interface.
Dave Johnson, a lead developer at Shield UI, commented on the new release: "While many companies aim to deliver a large number of controls to cover ground quickly, we at Shield UI aim for maturity, along with rich offering. Once a product is delivered, the original developers are not moved to a new product or team, but are directly responsible for future updates and improvements of the code base. Even though it is more demanding, we think this is in the right track for building better products and happier customers."
Developers who want to get their hands on the Shield UI framework can immediately sign up for a free trial at shieldui.com. In addition to the trial bundles, a Free for Non-commercial use package including the JavaScript widgets is also available. Shield UI's fully functional controls can be used free of charge for personal websites, school and university projects or any other non-commercial entity. For commercial websites and projects see the License and Pricing section.
The future plans of the Shield UI team include doubling the size of their product offering by mid-2014. This is in par with the demand of developers for always richer web development suites, which include a multitude of controls and share a common code base, API and architecture. Another ongoing aim of the development team is securing the multi-technological availability of the controls, by providing wrappers for ASP.NET, MVC and JAVA Apache Wicket.
