WORKSPACE GROUP PLC Analyst Notes
On June 4, 2014, WORKSPACE GROUP PLC (WORKSPACE) released its FY 2014 financial results (period ended March 31, 2014). The Company reported FY 2014 revenue of £73.6 million, up 5.9% YoY. During the year, the Company's operating profit improved 185.9% YoY to £265.6 million, which includes change in fair value of investment properties of £221.9 million, compared to change in fair value of investment properties of £59 million in FY 2013. Profit after tax was £252.4 million or 163.3 pence per diluted share, compared to £76.4 million or 52.1 pence per diluted share in FY 2013. The Company proposed a final dividend of 7.09 pence per share (total dividend of 10.63 pence per share for 2013) payable on August 1, 2014. J Sainsbury plc Analyst Notes
On June 9, 2014, J Sainsbury plc (Sainsbury) announced that the Company is planning to sell its popular Tu clothing online. Sainsbury informed that the trial run will start in August 2014 with an invited group of customers in the Midlands. The Company plans to offer Tu womenswear, menswear and childrenswear clothing on a bespoke website, with customers able to choose between Click & Collect and home delivery services. The online orders will be supplied from dedicated high-tech clothing depot in Bedford, which serves the 400 stores selling Sainsbury's clothing. Robbie Feather, Sainsbury's Online Director, said, "Our customers want to shop with us through a range of channels that allow them to shop whenever and wherever they want and they've been asking us to extend our online service to our clothing.
