SAI Global Compliance and Baker & McKenzie Launch Global Compliance Benchmarking Survey
PLAINSBORO, New Jersey, Oct. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SAI Global Compliance, the world's leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) products, services and technology, today announced the launch of its second annual Global Compliance Benchmarking Survey. Conducted jointly with Baker & McKenzie, the survey will discern business strategies that compliance, ethics and risk management professionals employ around the globe and the tactics they are using to enable effective compliance programs.
SAI Global Compliance and Baker & McKenzie invite compliance, risk and ethics executives worldwide to participate in the survey to gather strategic insight into how organizations are tackling some of the most complex compliance challenges. The benchmark will illuminate key strategies that are being deployed in organizations, as well as tactical responses to present-day challenges. The benchmark reports to be published from the survey will allow compliance professionals to compare their program strategies, priorities and tactics with those of their peers.
"Time and again we hear from clients that they want to know how their compliance programs stack up against other companies in their industry and against best practices. We look forward to survey participation from our clients, peers and partners around the world, and we know the results will be very valuable to them," said Paul McNulty, Global Chair of the Corporate Compliance group for Baker & McKenzie.
"Working with Baker & McKenzie on this benchmark survey is yet another way we look to help our global customers run their businesses effectively in today's increasingly complex compliance, ethics and risk management landscape," said Tim Whipple, President and Global Head, SAI Global Compliance. "By opening the survey to all organizations, we aim to gather the most relevant and timely information possible to share with these companies to help improve processes and maintain compliance."
"As a former compliance officer, the value of having benchmarking data to understand best practices and the effectiveness of a compliance program is critical. Being able to provide global and industry specific compliance program information to our clients and SAI Global's customers is a very needed resource in the compliance field and we look forward to assisting compliance professionals in using the data to continuously improve compliance programs, helping their companies address the complex regulatory environment and assisting in enhancing profitability through proper risk management," said Stephen Martin, Managing Director, Baker & McKenzie Compliance Consulting.
For the first time, the Global Benchmarking Survey will also include sub-surveys for specific industries. Building on the tradition of Compliance 360 industry-specific compliance benchmark studies, participants in healthcare, insurance and financial services will provide input based on their experiences in dynamic environments impacted by the Dodd-Frank Act, Healthcare Reform and other evolving regulatory initiatives.
"The inclusion of industry-specific compliance benchmarks within the Global Benchmarking Survey continues our long-term commitment and tradition of providing healthcare, insurance and financial services companies with information needed to help ensure the effectiveness of their compliance programs," said Steve McGraw, president, GRC, SAI Global Compliance.
