The fully re-vamped site has been built with the customer journey in mind and features a modern look with new and easily-navigable product content.
One of the new additions is the "Add to Shortlist" option where customers are now able to obtain a quote for more than one product without the need to replicate their personal details - a facility that is available on very few competitors' sites.
It is also now easier to identify which products are available through the new, used and rental channels enabling the customer to make enhanced and informed purchasing choices.
The website offers customers the chance to sign up to an e-newsletter and be given priority on sale offers as well as access to competitions and industry news.
Michael Gwynne, Marketing Manager at MCS Test Equipment said, "We recognised that our previous website wasn't delivering all of our customers' needs and was stopping us from reaching our full potential as one of the leading test equipment distributors in the UK. The new website has been built with the customer journey as the main driver; we hope the simple yet attractive design will enhance our customers' enjoyment and usage of the website.
"We believe in taking the time to understand and fulfil our customers' expectations and among other improvements we now offer tailored warranties on all of our used products. We expect the improved content and functionality to encourage more interaction and repeat visits."
Phase two of the website revamp is due early in 2014, when a full e-commerce site will become active featuring a whole new range of products and accessories.
