LONDON, May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
MobiBiz has won FIATECH's CETI Award 2015 in the Integrated, Automated Procurement & Supply Network category for Enable My Team (EMT, emtcloud.io), its supply chain collaboration platform. The award was presented at FIATECH's annual technology conference from 13-15 April in Boca Raton, Florida.
Fiatech is an international community of passionate stakeholders working together to lead global development and adoption of innovative practices and technologies to realise the highest business value throughout the life cycle of capital assets. As a facilitator for productivity through innovative solutions, Fiatech recognises excellence in the fields of technology research, development, and implementation through its Celebration of Technology and Innovation (CETI) Awards. Established in 2006 by Fiatech, the awards gala is held annually to promote and showcase significant achievements by both organisations and individuals.
MobiBiz has been working with Costain and COMIT for the past 12 months on trialling EMT to map its supply chain across multiple tiers and assess risk. "As a business leader, I'm able to have full visibility of our supply chain. I can drill down into sub-contracts and fully understand who and when business partners are working for us with live business analytics whenever I need them to check performance," says Tim Embley, Group Innovation & Knowledge Manager at Costain.
2014 also saw the first on-site trialling of EMT's Asset information management system operating on the huge Crossrail project and specifically with its Tier 1 contractors (Costain - Skanska) CSJV C405 Paddington.
"We have been trialling the use of Enable My Team here at C405. It is already showing us a huge number of benefits. We all know that large infrastructure projects always struggle with asset management. Enable My Team has given us a "one stop shop" to view and review, record and track asset information," says Ben Feltham, BIM Manager Rail at Skanska UK. "This system is hugely beneficial giving everyone access to the latest and correct information without having to go through huge amounts of documents. We can now add some automation to our requirement to name the projects assets. This is just underway and gives us the confidence that we can correctly name our assets quickly and efficiently in accordance with Crossrail's Standards."
