MatchPint Launches App for iPhone - The Best Sports Pub Finder in the UK

With the Premier League and Six Nations both reaching their climax, and with the biggest ever summer of UK sport on the horizon, MatchPint (http://www.matchpint.co.uk/) has launched a free iPhone app, making it easier than ever for sports fans in London and across the UK to find which sports bars and pubs are showing which games.

The free application allows users to see which sports bars and pubs are showing a particular fixture in the coming week; so, rather than telling fans which venues televise sport generally, MatchPint helps punters find which venues are showing the specific game they want, making it the most detailed pub finder available for sports fans.

Fans that are in a rush, or in an unknown area, can use 'my location' settings to identify which sports bars and pubs showing the selected game are nearest, ensuring that they no longer have to walk from pub to pub in search of somewhere showing the game.

Through use of the app, sports fans now have the perfect pub finder and will be able to discover sports pubs in London and across the UK showing live Premier League football on Sky Sports and ESPN, search for pubs showing Rugby and find sports bars showing Cricket, Tennis, Boxing and Formula 1 amongst others. With a summer of sport which includes EURO 2012 and the Olympics, as well as the launch of Sky Sports' new F1 channel for the 2012 season, the timing of the launch couldn't be better.

The app is not designed simply for sports fans on the run, however. When searching for sports bars televising a particular fixture, users can view profiles for each individual pub, seeing how many screens it has and whether they have 3D or HD. They can also read descriptions and browse photos so that they can choose the best sports pubs across London and the UK for the game they want to watch.

The website, which has been live since September 2011, has also recently undergone change. As part of the launch, MatchPint has compiled several new pages designed to point fans in the direction of the top venues for particular sports, cities and even teams. So, for example, visitors can go to the page 'Best Sports Pubs and Bars in London' to see MatchPint's top 5 venues for sport in the capital.

New users of MatchPint can set up a MyProfile account to personalise their experience; by selecting their favourite sports, teams and areas, MatchPint can recommend to users the best sports pubs and bars in which to watch them.
