Major Japanese Coal Buyers Set to Meet International Coal Producers at the Coaltrans East Asia Networking Forum

Currently just two of Japan's fifty nuclear reactors are in operation. However, in light of the new safety regulations that were introduced earlier this month, it is possible that at least twelve more reactors are likely to be restarted in the near future. "Coal fired power plants are currently running at maximum capacity to provide the base load for Japan.
