Allens of Mayfair are the oldest butchers shop in London, having first opened in 1830.
Conspicuous as one of the only non-clothing stores on the increasingly fashionable Mount Street (with Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs and Christian Louboutin as neighbours), Allens remain true to their abiding values - quality and service.

In 2009 Allens began offering butchery lessons. These lessons are held in the beautifully tiled, Victoria-era shop and last 2 hours, with a small group of 5 people expertly instructed by a Master Butcher. At a cost of £150 per person, and including tuition and all of your prepared meats to take home, they proved incredibly popular.
Such was the success of these classes that many other butchers have followed suit - however the Allens Butchery Masterclass remains the original.
Allens have recently introduced an Advanced Butchery course, for those that have taken the Beginners class. Costing £175, the advanced course is for those wishing to be pushed a little further.

In addition to the butchery classes, Allens offer a huge range of top quality, fresh meats for order online, which they deliver across the UK. This includes Scotch beef, free-range Gloucestershire chicken, and Yorkshire pork. All meats are traceable back to the farm, and delivered fresh and ready to cook.

Butchery class information:
Each class costs £150 (£175 for the advanced class) per person and runs for 2 hours. Classes are strictly limited to 5 people. The cost includes the prepared meats to take home.
Delivery information:
Delivery to mainland UK, except Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and Isles of Scilly. Delivery is charged at £9, with free delivery for all orders of £70 and over.
Orders can be delivered by courier within 48 hours, or booked for a chosen future date.
