HANGZHOU, China, April 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NetEase Kaola, China's leading cross-border e-commerce platform, announced today that it expects to finalize contracts with three leading German brands, Hape, Ricosta, and Eurocomfort, to expand their e-commerce presence in China.
NetEase Kaola provides international brands with a convenient and comprehensive e-commerce solution in China, including cross-border logistics and warehousing, online operations, and after-sales services, enabling international businesses to reach a wider range of Chinese consumers. The company currently works with more than 3,000 brands globally, and with its upcoming European Partner Day on 10 April 2017, it will not only expand its existing relationships in Europe but also develop new opportunities for European brands looking to safely and efficiently access the Chinese market.
Over 50 leading European brands will attend the European Partner Day event in Frankfurt to learn about how NetEase Kaola can support them to build consumer awareness and expand their footprint in China. This inaugural event marks the launch of NetEase Kaola's European Partnership Plan, which aims to increase the number of European brands engaging directly with Chinese consumers.
Zhang Lei, CEO of NetEase Kaola, said, "We understand the challenges that overseas brands face when entering the complex Chinese market and are thrilled that more German brands are choosing NetEase Kaola as their Chinese e-commerce platform solution. Chinese consumers recognize the high quality of German products and we are confident the demand will be strong. We are at the first stage of growth for German SME brands to enter China and I look forward to expanding our partnerships during our European Partner Day and throughout the coming years."
Rafael Torres, Export director of Eurocomfort, stated, "Chinese consumers are increasingly discerning and willing to pay for unique, high-quality products. We carry a wide-range of products to meet these demands. Partnering with NetEase Kaola will enable us to quickly build and develop a robust e-commerce presence in China that minimizes both risk and investment. We look forward to working together to expand our presence in this exciting market."
Ricosta, a children's shoe company with a long-standing history, began a trial partnership with NetEase Kaola in 2016. Since then, the company has seen a remarkable increase of sales in China, and its global revenue was significantly boosted by its growth in the China market.
Kai Moewes, Global sales director of Ricosta, said, "NetEase Kaola has been instrumental in helping us build our brand awareness among young and quality-conscious Chinese consumers. We are pleased with the outcome of our trial partnership and are confident that NetEase Kaola is a reliable strategic partner to help Ricosta further develop our market presence in China."
Dennis Gies, Board of Hape International, said, "While we have sales agents across China, NetEase Kaola has given us the ability to engage with a wide and diverse group of consumers, thanks to its ability to leverage the resources of its parent company, NetEase, with more than 800 million users. We look forward to the next stage of growth and encourage other German companies to consider NetEase Kaola as their partner in China."
