Hillside Beach Club Bumps Followers by 164% With Search for Chief Instagram Officer Social Campaign

Hillside Beach Club, a 5* resort in Fethiye, Turkey, has captured the imagination of avid Instagram users the world over with a creative social media campaign that resulted in over 25,000 entries and its followers rocketing from 11,000 to 29,000 in 3 weeks.

Keen to showcase its creativity, Hillside Beach Club announced its hunt for Chief Instagram Officers; a specially created role offering savvy travellers the chance to spend a week on site managing the resort's Instagram account. Consumers applied through the social media platform.

To enter, users were invited to post their very best beach shots with @hillsidebeachclub under the hashtag #jobatheavenonearth. Applicants were competing for just six positions in paradise being judged solely on the quality of their camera skills and their social media presence. The winning entries can be viewed here with UK resident Ido Simyoni chosen as one of the lucky six.

In addition to promoting the competition over Instagram, Hillside promoted the competition over instagram, facebook and Linkedin, reaching professionals and fans in the UK, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Russia, Italy, Spain and the USA.
