GAC MOTOR Cooperates with Dubai-based Dealer to Strengthen Presence in Middle East

GUANGZHOU, China, March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On February 24, GAC MOTOR signed a cooperation agreement with Dubai-based car dealer Gargash whereby Gargash will build showrooms in prime locations across Dubai, completing the second one within one year, as part of its plans to establish GAC MOTOR showrooms across the UAE by 2015.

GAC MOTOR enters UAE with Gargash

An industry insider indicated that despite the many luxury models already in the market, the Middle East lacks brands aimed at mass-market buyers. Utility-driven GAC MOTOR models address this shortcoming.

Dubai is first step in GAC MOTOR's  international strategy

GAC MOTOR will accelerate exports of made-in-China medium-and high-end vehicles by expanding exports of GAC MOTOR to 11 countries across South America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe this year.

Some of GAC MOTOR's achievements in the Middle East in 2013:

• Passed GCC certification and motor vehicle tests in several Gulf States.
• Established three showrooms and two after-sale service outlets and initiated trial sales in Kuwait. The first dealership will open for business soon - its first dealership to open outside of China.
• Becoming a sponsor of GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour Kuwait Open.

GAC MOTOR's agreement with a Dubai-based dealer represents GAC MOTOR's formal foray into the UAE market and the first step of a plan to develop markets across the Middle East and North America. Dubai, the economic and financial center of the Middle East, will act as a springboard for GAC MOTOR's expansion.
