MELBOURNE, Australia, June 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
German medical and safety technology company Dräger is turning 125. For Chairman of the Executive Board Stefan Dräger, this is "a good reason to pause and reflect on what makes Dräger special as well as a good reason to celebrate."
The motto "125 years of heartfelt dedication" embodies the essence of what has driven the family-run company to develop excellent, innovative technology for life for 125 years. This is also illustrated in the Dräger Moments exhibit: a selection of 15 key moments, each captured in an artistic sphere that takes the viewer on a journey through the 125-year history of the company. One stop on this journey is the Pulmotor, the first portable emergency ventilator back in 1907 that made it possible to resuscitate people who had lost consciousness due to a lack of oxygen.

"On a daily basis, we continue to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of individuals across Australia and New Zealand whether it be through a breathing apparatus for firefighters who battle bushfires, or through ventilators that keep your loved ones alive in the ICU. This is the true meaning of creating Technology for Life and what we stand for at Dräger - and to do this for 125 years, is simply amazing," says Markus Koch, Country Manager of Dräger in Australia and New Zealand.
