Document Management Software Provider, Invu, Launches New Paperless Processing Automated Accounting Initiative to Further Expand its Share of the Accountancy Market
LONDON, August 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Document Management software provider, Invu, http://www.invu.net today announces the launch of its UK initiative to build upon its existing market leading position in the accountancy practice marketplace. The Automated Accounting Initiative (AAI) aims to increase paperless processing among Accountancy Practices and underlines Invu's determination to increase its sizable market share amongst the accountancy sector.
Invu has over 800 small, medium and large accountancy firms as customers, including; Bates Weston, Monahans and LEES Accountants. Currently working with over 20% of the top 100 UK practices, the company is looking to partner with specialist value added resellers, as well as increasing its own client portfolio in a bid to drive out paper and improve accounting processes nationwide. The AAI is designed to highlight to the accountancy sector how increased efficiency and enhanced services can be provided in less time and at a lower cost.
Colin Gallick, CEO at Invu, comments, "Launching the Automated Accounting Initiative highlights our continuing dedication to the accountancy sector and our commitment to drive paperless processing. In an age where technology is an integrated part of our daily lives, many accountants are still constrained by a reliance on paper-based records. This initiative will help educate those practices yet to adopt an automated approach."
Mark Pegg, IT Director at Bates Weston, explains, "The accountancy business is no longer about the cheapest way of creating a set of accounts; it is about value added services. Invu provides the central spine of information that is enabling Bates Weston to deliver these services to clients."
The AAI will contribute to an already strong partner network. In 2010 IRIS signed an exclusive deal to white label Invu Document Management. This included integration with the IRIS practice suite, proving Invu's adaptability for collaboration with key practice applications. As well as this level of sophisticated integration there is also general purpose quick-link technology which enables Invu to work with other practice products.
Phill Robinson, Chief Executive at IRIS, explains, "IRIS has had a long standing relationship with Invu spanning a number of years, allowing it to meet all the document management requirements of its clients. As a company, we continue to believe that our partnership with Invu provides the best document management solutions for the UK Accountancy Sector. It remains a key focus for Invu who continue to invest heavily in ensuring its products are competitive and suit the ever changing needs of the sector."
Invu's experience in the sector and close collaboration with Iris has enabled the company to work closely with a large number of accountancy firms to improve and optimise document handling and management. LEES Accountants struggled with the volume of paper records and held the documentation in a warehouse costing £20,000 per year ahead of engaging with Invu. Document retrieval was slow and occasionally documents were mislaid or lost which adversely impacted LEES quality of client service.
Iain Clayton, Director at LEES, comments, "Invu and IRIS is not just about saving time - it's more a question of retrieval and organisation - vital in a business that relies upon documentation."
It is these types of close working relationships between partners and accountants which Invu is seeking to grow and expand.
Gallick concludes, "The aim of the AAI is to further enhance our positioning within the accountancy sector. Invu is dedicated to improving efficiency and ensuring its products meet the demands of the sector and the AAI has enabled us to refocus our efforts."
