WOKING, England, July 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
New capabilities enable dynamic profit projections for projects
CONJECT, a leading supplier of cloud software for the whole life management of built assets, today launches new capabilities to further strengthen its financial management solution for commercial teams and asset owners.
In addition, significant improvements to the integration with MS Outlook enables all team members to securely review and complete processes via their MS Outlook accounts on mobile devices, reinforcing the CONJECT commitment to support mobile working in the AEC and property industries.
Nick Sansome, Director, CONJECT Ltd, said 'Customers who use the existing cost management and EVM capabilities in the CONJECT platform improve the visibility and control over their expenditure and improve the financial outcome of projects. The new enhancements provide the capability to forecast not only costs, but critically the work performed over time, which affects the bottom line profits potentially generated from a project.'
Providing financial management and project collaboration in one CDE
CONJECT is unique amongst collaboration software vendors as it provides customers with financial management capabilities integrated into its CDE platform, enabling in-depth financial reporting and Earned Value Management (EVM) across projects and programmes. It supplements back office ERP systems by providing day-to-day supply chain cost control and EVM features that ERPs don't provide.
The new financial management capabilities dynamically forecast the "Earned Value" of the work completed until the end of the project. This is valuable to asset owners and commercial teams who now have control over not just project costs, but can also calculate profit levels at various points throughout the project.
Supporting mobile working in the AEC and property industries
Recent research* indicates that there is a continuing overreliance on paper-based working practices in the industry. To increase productivity, new capabilities enable all team members to securely review and complete processes via their MS Outlook accounts on mobile devices. This includes the ability for team members who do not have system logins to send and receive files (documents, drawings & models) and process transactions from their email inbox.
The July release includes:
- Dynamic projection of project value to the end of the project, enabling calculation of potential project profits.
- Enhanced support for mobile working for users and non-users - MS Outlook integration enables emails in and out of the system, and process items to be cleared.
- New single-screen editing capability means speedy updates to Change items in the Financial Control module.
