Champion, trademark of Wolf Oil Corporation, one of Europe's leading independent lubricants companies, announces its newest addition to the passenger car motor oil portfolio. The OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE motor oil is the first-to-market mandatory for the newest Volkswagen / Audi engines.
New engines demand a new breed of oil. The new 2.0 TFSI 140 kW and 3.0 TDI CR 160 kW engines are a new type of engine by the VAG Group (Volkswagen and Audi). They have their own specification: VW 508 00 / 509 00. Built to use the latest technology, these newest VAG Group engines need a lubricant that prevents shearing - tearing apart the structure of the oil, resulting in loss of viscosity and quality. The Champion OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE motor oil ensures superior shear stability to withstand the extreme forces, pressure and strain of these powerful engines.
The lubricant was developed specifically to utilize the full potential of these engines, providing viscosity retention, optimized output and engine performance, reduced wear and advanced protection. It prolongs the engine life and maintains the efficiency of its emission system, allowing the driver 30.000 kilometers or two years of driving before oil change is necessary. The use of the ultra low 0W20 viscosity grade enables substantial fuel saving - a four percent fuel economy improvement of up to 0,12L/100km - and lower CO2 emissions. Champion OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE motor oil keeps the Volkswagen and Audi engines from 2015 onwards running like new.
"With today's engines becoming increasingly powerful and efficiency being more and more important, lubricants must deliver more fuel economy while maintaining performance. This low viscosity VW lubricant fits perfectly into that trend", says Inès El Majid, Technical & Product Manager at Champion. "The new Champion OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE motor oil is the first to allow VAG Group engines with the 508 00 and 509 00 specification to release their full potential."
Champion OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE will be available by the end of July 2016. Note: The OEM SPECIFIC 0W20 LL FE can only be used with engines with VW 508 00 / 509 00 specification and is not backward compatible.
