Atradius Collections' Strategic Alliance With Recuperos in Chile Opens up New Growth Opportunities

Atradius Collections, a leading international trade invoice collections company, has announced a strategic alliance with Recuperos S.A. to strengthen its presence in Latin America. This alliance will enable Atradius Collections to provide a more localised service to its customers while attracting new customers to its debt collection services.
Recuperos, the market leader in debt collection in Chile, is a subsidiary of Continental, Chile's largest credit insurer with 20 years' experience in the industry. As Atradius already has a 49% shareholding in Continental, its alliance with Recuperos is a natural progression and will open up new growth opportunities for both companies. Atradius Collections' managing director Raymond van der Loos observed: "The combination of our global expertise with Recuperos' local knowledge means we can do more to help businesses in Chile improve their cash flow and maximize their profitability".
This new alliance is the latest stage of Atradius Collections' geographical growth strategy. As van der Loos explains: "Globalisation is on the rise and trade flows are proliferating across the world, with South America now a major trade region. We want to strengthen our presence there to help our customers trade safely and, of course, to recover their debts."
In May this year, Atradius Collections opened a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil and, as well as developing its presence in Latin America, the company is also planning further expansion into Asian markets.
