- Critical Care Symposium to Highlight New Risk Assessment Biomarkers

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Astute Medical, Inc. today announced it will discuss risk assessment of acute kidney injury (AKI) in critically ill patients at a symposium to be held in conjunction with the upcoming European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) congress in Lisbon, Portugal. The Company-hosted symposium, "New AKI Biomarkers: A Revolution in Risk Assessment," will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012, from 12:30 to 14:00 local time. The educational session, which is open to ESICM attendees, will feature clinical presentations from experts performing groundbreaking work in the areas of critical care medicine and AKI. Speakers will offer insights for physicians with patients affected by AKI and address the challenges and potential advances in the management of these patients.
