A Record Number of Airlines to Present at the 2014 Passenger Experience Conference

Delta Air Lines, Qatar Airways, Southwest Airlines, Thomson Airways, Lufthansa German Airlines and Virgin America will all field high-level speakers during this year's Passenger Experience Conference, taking place on 7 April 2014 at the CCH - Congress Center Hamburg.
The panel discussion 'New Opportunities for Passenger Experience' is scheduled to feature within the 'Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity: A Voyage of Discovery and Opportunity' breakout session. Qatar Airways will be represented during the discussion by Nazier Mohamed, Manager IFEC Technology Product Development. The session is set to satisfy the conference's reputation for thought-leadership given that a recent report (Consumer Electronics - Global Trends, Estimates and Forecasts, 2011-2018) predicted that the market in Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) will be worth US$ 1.6 trillion by 2018; with a compound aggregate growth rate of 13.9% in the Middle East.
Southwest Airlines will then confront the challenge of gate-to-gate connectivity in a case study and subsequent Q&A session hosted by themselves and Global Eagle Entertainment. Angela Vargo, Manager Product Development at the carrier will examine the benefits of longer connectivity times, potential passenger engagement initiatives and the importance of real-time monitoring.
Meanwhile, in the stream entitled 'The Cabin: Getting Smarter about Space and Comfort', Christian Sutter, Cabin Design Specialist at Thomson Airways will join a number of representatives from key industry stakeholders - B/E Aerospace, Airbus, Priestmangoode, Zodiac Aerospace and Delft University of Technology - in a panel discussion focused upon 'Making the Best Use of Space and Making it Better'.
Airline input will also be prevalent in the breakout session entitled 'Protecting the Brand: Cabin Maintenance'. This session will be moderated by Mike Kotas, Director of Cabin Maintenance at Delta Air Lines and will feature Jason Lazich, Manager Aircraft Appearance at Virgin America, in two sessions; Setting the standard - keeping the condition of the cabin up to spec and a best practices round table discussion. Bernhardt Seiter, Director Product Management Cabin Interior & IFE at Lufthansa German Airlines, recently confirmed his attendance in the round table discussion.
This stream's penultimate session will then focus upon the potential lessons to be learned from a case study presented by Geoff Pettis, Manager Cabin Operations Support Engineering, Delta Air Lines. Entitled 'Building Reliability into the Passenger Cabin' the session will analyse the benefits of involving maintenance teams at the earliest stages of the design process.
