PR Newswire AI is a powerful suite of generative AI tools integrated into the Amplify platform. Built specifically for communications professionals, it streamlines the entire PR workflow, from campaign planning and content creation to distribution of press releases. By combining third-party technology (Google Gemini Enterprise) with proprietary models trained on years of press release performance data and editorial best practices, our AI helps brands quickly and easily craft high-quality, results-driven content that effectively tells your brand’s story.

3. How does the AI align with my company’s brand voice?
Our AI studies your past press releases as well as your company website to understand your unique style and tone. For new platform users, the tool will reference similar companies in your industry in addition to your website. While drafting a new release with our tool, make sure to review and edit the text directly so that it fits your needs. The more content you create with our AI solution, the more familiar it will become with your brand voice.
4. How does the Press Release Score work?
The Press Release Score provides insights and tailored recommendations to improve press release content. By leveraging historical performance data, industry best practices and generative AI, the tool evaluates your release from "Poor" to "Great." It evaluates key elements such as headlines, quotes, structure, calls to action and news angles, offering actionable feedback for refinement. This feature speeds up the drafting process and enhances the quality of your content.
5. Can I still have the editorial team, or a live person review my release before distribution?
Yes, you always have 24/7/365 access to our editorial team. They are expert advisors when it comes to press release writing, SEO and the PR industry, and they are happy to assist you with reviewing and editing releases before submission. It’s important to remember that you retain responsibility for the accuracy of your release, including AI-generated content and quotes. We recommend thoroughly reviewing your release and receiving any and all required internal approvals before submission.
6. What AI technology powers PR Newswire, and what sets it apart?
PR Newswire’s AI is powered by Google Gemini Enterprise and enhanced with our proprietary press release performance data and decades of industry and editorial expertise. Unlike generic AI tools, it’s purpose-built for PR, delivering high-quality, brand-aligned content that’s optimized for engagement and distribution. This combination of enterprise-grade AI and industry-specific intelligence sets us apart, helping you confidently create and deliver impactful stories that drive maximum visibility.
7. How does the system ensure the security of my data and information, especially during the drafting process?
Both Google Gemini Enterprise and PR Newswire’s platform are SOC II compliant. At Cision, data privacy and security are top priorities. Your data is never used to train third-party AI models. All user data remains within Cision’s secure infrastructure, safeguarded by advanced firewalls and strict access controls. Learn more about Cision’s AI Code of Ethics here.
8. How accurate is AI-generated content?
While AI is highly advanced, it may occasionally produce content with grammatical errors or inaccuracies, particularly if the input contains errors. We strongly recommend reviewing and verifying the factual accuracy of your content, especially when incorporating specific data or information. To support this, the platform will remind you to confirm accuracy before finalizing content.
9. Does the tool support multiple languages or have translation features?
Currently, our AI tools are available in English and Canadian French. While the tool may process input in other languages, it does not reliably generate output in those languages. AI translation capabilities are not included in the platform at this time.
10. Can AI-generated releases be flagged automatically, and are disclaimers necessary?
Currently, PR Newswire does not publicly tag press releases to indicate they were created using AI. AI is a valuable tool to enhance content quality and engagement, streamline workflows and achieve distribution goals, rather than a replacement of PR expertise. We encourage you to always review, edit and follow your internal approval process before distributing content created with AI.
11. How does the Plan module know what kind of news is relevant to me?
When you get started using the Plan module for research, you will be asked to share your company name, company website and industry to help shape the research results. Additionally, it will review your previously published press releases for context. You can also ask our platform to generate results for any topic via a search bar at the top of the page. Each result is coupled with AI-generated press release topic suggestions.
12. When building a campaign in the Plan module, am I limited to using AI-suggested campaign ideas or can I build something different?
You can do it either way. To use a different idea, go to the Campaign Builder page. You will be asked a few basic questions to set up the guidelines - the campaign objective, capacity, primary and secondary audience and key message. Once the campaign is generated, you can make edits directly to the campaign and they will be auto-saved.
13. Does the platform only provide reports for individual release campaigns, or can I see an overview of my brand’s performance as a whole?
The Report module features an account overview page that displays your brand’s aggregate performance data over time. Additionally, the release comparison tool allows you to compare the performance of up to three release campaigns at a time, viewing their metrics side-by-side and in tables that collate the data into one view.
