- Summer Call to European Amateur Skaters
PURCHASE, New York, June 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- #DewTourAmSeries – This summer, Mountain Dew® will host the first-ever European Dew Tour Am Series — an exciting, action-packed one day amateur action sports competition — in Amsterdam on August 31st. Amateur skaters will battle it out at the iconic Museumplein, with the competition a part of the largest cultural festival in the Netherlands, Uitmarkt.
Mountain Dew skateboarders Keelan Dadd, Theotis Beasley and Boo Johnson will attend the event of thrilling street skate competition, athlete signings, on-the-spot prizing, experiential sampling, live DJs and a concert by Splendid – the upbeat group behind the smash hit "The Beach."

The Dew Tour Am Series competition is open to amateur skaters, with one winner heading to New York City as a VIP for the Dew Tour Toyota City Championships in Brooklyn, New York September 20 – 21, 2014 to watch the world's top professional skate and BMX athletes compete in the unique streetstyle competition, as well as street contests held in the iconic House of Vans Brooklyn.
Several Dew Tour Bootcamps — grassroots events and mini skate competitions — across Europe this summer in countries including the Netherlands, UK, Denmark, Sweden and Czech Republic will bring their winners to Amsterdam for the Dew Tour Am Series to close out a summer of skate fueled by Mountain Dew. The final Dew Tour Bootcamp will take place August 30th at Museumplein.
