- Debbie Farnaby joins as Partner in Johannesburg office
JOHANNESBURG, June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Heidrick & Struggles (Nasdaq:HSII), the premier provider of executive search, leadership consulting and culture shaping worldwide, strengthens its Global Technology and Services expertise with the addition of Debbie Farnaby to the firm's Johannesburg office.
Farnaby previously served as a director of a start-up consulting firm, providing strategic services including SAP resourcing and expertise, business and technology consulting, project management and project audit capabilities.
Prior to this, Farnaby worked at the De Beers Group, serving as the group director for shared services where she was responsible for providing a range of shared services to the Group's global operating entities, including ICT, financial, security, supply chain and facilities management. Farnaby joined The De Beers Group as group director of information technology (CIO). Previously, she served at the global executive level for Sappi Limited.

Farnaby has also worked in public service at a national level with involvement in the criminal justice system through Business Against Crime and also provides pro-bono assistance to not-for-profit endeavors, including the Hope Home and the Polio Research Foundation.
Farnaby graduated from University of the Witwatersrand with a bachelor's degree in computer science and earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Stellenbosch. She also earned a Graduate Diploma in mechanical engineering from WITS.
