Former CEO of CPA Global Brings Over Two Decades of Proven Leadership and Deep Expertise in the Global Intellectual Property Ecosystem
LONDON, June 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT) ("Clarivate" or the "Company"), a leading global provider of transformative intelligence, today announced that Simon Webster has been appointed President of the Company's Intellectual Property ("IP") segment effective June 10, 2026, succeeding Maroun S. Mourad, who will be pursuing other opportunities. Mr. Mourad will ensure a smooth transition and depart from Clarivate at the end of September.

Mr. Webster is a proven executive with more than two decades of experience helping global businesses scale, innovate and deliver greater value to customers. He most recently served as Group CEO of Vistra, a corporate and fund solutions company based in Singapore, from 2022 to 2025, leading the company through a $6.5 billion merger with Tricor. Prior to Vistra, Mr. Webster held a number of senior roles at CPA Global, a global leader in IP software and technology-enabled services, since 2000, most recently serving as CEO from 2015 to 2021. During his tenure at CPA Global, he helped build the company into one of the industry's leading IP platforms, before its sale to Clarivate in 2020. Earlier in his career, Mr. Webster held roles of increasing responsibility across the U.K. financial services sector.
