WRG Rebrands Hong Kong Acquisition as it Continues Expansion in China

WRG is rebranding Hong Kong-based Serious Events, the business it acquired last year to gain a foothold in China, the world's second-largest economy.

This week Serious Events will be re-badged WRG. The change will reflect the live communication and experiential agency's global brand as it plans to continue growth in the region.

Serious Events is an event management and technical staging business that works with clients including Christian Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

WRG acquired Serious Events from Serious Staging in November 2012 to strengthen its ability to support and service international clients.

The acquisition extended WRG's sector expertise and geographical reach, adding Hong Kong to its list of offices, which also includes London, Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Doha and New York.

The Hong Kong team, led by General Manager Cliff Zenker, this week also moved into new offices within the St John's Building on Garden Road in the heart of Hong Kong's Central Business District.
