SAN FRANCISCO, October 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
GoldenPalace.com bought the giant piece of underwear from http://www.chillisauce.co.uk as part of a charity auction for the Breast Cancer Campaign's 'wear it pink' event. They paid a healthy £3,601 for the bra in the EBay auction which ended at 7pm on Sunday, and they're so accomplished at snapping up the bonkers and bizarre that the bra is going to be in extremely illustrious company.
The 30 metre fluorescent pink bra is joining a glittering stable of purchases from a company that seeks out the weird and wonderful from around the world. A lock of Justin Bieber's hair, Britney Spear's pregnancy testing kit and William Shatner's kidney stone are just some of the items bought by the new owners of the bra as they continue its mission to own all those things you thought money couldn't buy.
Chillisauce.co.uk sold it after a 10 day charity auction complete with its Guinness World Record Certificate, making it officially the world's largest bra, but as yet the new owner's intentions are unclear.
Adrian Simpson, a Director at Chillisauce.co.uk said 'we're just really happy that so much money has been raised for BCC and the fact that it's going to a very interesting new home is a fantastic bonus for all of us who have been involved in the project for the last year.'
The new owners, who also been paid $28,000 for a grilled cheese sandwich that appeared to have an image of the Virgin Mary, is undecided on the bra's future but Richard Allen who conducted the purchase said "Breast cancer affects men and women and raising awareness is GoldenPalace.com has mastered the art of guerilla marketing and we are never happier than when we find an opportunity to apply those skills to help make a better life for those in need."
