Clients include Samsung Mobile, Pepsi Max, Marmite, Vita Coco and Argos
In a world where the BBC Breaking News Twitter account has more viewers than the Ten O'Clock News, marketers are increasingly finding it harder to gain attention. This is why Burst, the UK's first micro-content specialist agency is launching to service brands and agencies eager to reach a new generation of consumers with short attention spans, headed up by Brandsonvine's Michael Litman.
Attention spans are shorter than ever - the BBC Breaking News Twitter account has more followers now than the Ten O'Clock News has viewers. Marketers are increasingly finding it harder to gain attention. This is why Burst, the London based micro-content specialist agency is launching to service brands eager to reach a new generation of consumers with short attention spans.
Founded by Michael Litman, a former PR, advertising and community strategist for leading digital agencies, Burst has grown from the success of Litman's Brandsonvine venture that has been establishing itself as the go-to authority in the short-form video space over the last 18 months.
Clients include global brands like Samsung Mobile, Pepsi Max, Marmite, Vita Coco, Argos and a number of agencies; providing video content production, consultancy, training and workshops. Brands have increasingly been requesting that Brandsonvine offer a universal package of video content across all their owned channels. Burst aims to be a new type of agency specialist for the mobile first generation and will expand the Brandsonvine content proposition across all current and emerging micro-content platforms.
"Burst is launching now because consumers are overloaded with marketing. Attention spans are now shorter than ever, so people need short-form marketing that captivates. In 2000 the average human attention span was 12s, in 2013 it went down to eight seconds. We've moved from Generation YouTube to Generation Buzzfeed." Michael Litman, Founder, Burst.
The biggest campaign to date has been for Vita Coco, the emerging leader in coconut water who was looking for social media support for its Summer 2014 campaign. Brandsonvine was competitively awarded the project, seeing over 90,000 loops to date across these videos.
"We met with a few different agencies and asked them all to respond to our brief and Brandsonvine were our specialist agency of choice. The team showed great creativity and also a passion and clear understanding for the Vita Coco brand." Pip Brook, Marketing Director, EMEA, Vita Coco.
