Wirecard Presents Innovative Solution for Card Payments at POS Terminals

Wirecard is to expand the range of functions for point of sale (POS) terminals with an intelligent payment interface. This will process payments from various retailers via a single POS terminal, which involves routing the payment transaction from the POS terminal directly to the relevant retailer acceptance point and then posting the payment into the corresponding retailer's bank account.
The first application systems will be available in spring 2015 for self-service bag drop facilities at airports. These automated baggage services will identify additional or excess baggage, for which passengers may be obliged to pay a direct fee, depending on the respective airline's policy.
