Sweden locations now fully operational as Egencia, marking the transition from VIA Egencia near complete
STOCKHOLM, Feb. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Egencia®, the business travel brand of the Expedia group (NASDAQ: EXPE), today announced that its Sweden operations officially changed its corporate name from VIA Egencia to Egencia. This marks an important step in the integration that began when Egencia acquired VIA Travel in 2012.
Over the past several years, both the Egencia and VIA teams worked together to make sure all employees are trained to use Egencia's global travel business travel platform, and clients and travellers are aware of the benefits of being a part of a worldwide travel brand.
"This is an exciting time for our travel market, and we are pleased that our integration has been a success for both our employees and our customers," said Michael Schüller, managing director, Egencia Sweden. "As a part of Egencia, we expanded our global reach and can offer our customers the most state-of-the-art global business travel platform in the world, as well as the same high-level of localized customer service they expect. We can now offer our clients truly intuitive tools available across smartphones, tablets and laptops and that correspond to the expectations of business travellers of today."
"We are thrilled to have a presence in the Nordic region, and welcome our existing and future customers to Egencia," said Christophe Peymirat, senior vice president, Egencia EMEA.
