KYIV, Ukraine, October 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Pre-commissioning activities are complete at the Odessa Oil Refinery, part of VETEK Group. Core production facilities are already working at planned capacities - including CDU/VDU, viscosity breaking, catalytic reforming, and gasoline redistillation units.
Odessa Oil Refinery produces A-95 class gasoline as well as diesel fuel according to the EURO-4 and LHG ecological and fuel standards operating in Ukraine.
In the future, the plant may expand its product range to include RT jet fuel, fuel oil, and liquefied natural gas.
In the medium term, VETEK Group plans to not only restore the plant's production capacities, but also increase production volume, implement new technologies, and carry out a number of investment projects made possible by increased cooperation with the region's related enterprises.
"Putting Odessa Oil Refinery into service is a logical step toward vertical integration of our business, which will incorporate production, processing, trading, and marketing. The launch will give a new incentive for industrial development in Odessa and the region, create new employment opportunities, and provide all regions of Ukraine with high-quality fuel," commented the Chairman of VETEK Group Supervisory Board Serhiy Kurchenko.
The plant currently employs 500 workers, 150 of them in newly created positions.
