They will be flying up to 10,000ft with GoSkydive, before jumping out of the plane with tandem parachute instructors and hurtling back down towards Old Sarum airfield in Salisbury at speeds of up to 120mph.
Joining Zoe and Jamie will be around 40 other people jumping throughout the day in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, many of whom have a member of their family who is living with MND or has sadly passed away.
Almost £40,000 has been raised in sponsorship by the group so far, and Zoe and Jamie have a fundraising target of at least £4,000. To help them reach their target please visit https://www.justgiving.com/zoeandjamiejump
Zoe said "How do we feel: terrified! I am trying not to think about it too much, but really I would do anything for Rick. He was an amazing man who, despite his battle, never lost his amazing sense of humour - he would be absolutely delighted to see the fear of the skydive looming in our eyes! Please donate to our site on Justgiving and make all the terror worthwhile!"
Jamie said "Rick was first diagnosed with MND back in 2011 and his decline was fast and aggressive. He sadly passed away just over a year after his first diagnosis so this is a cause really close to our hearts. Please help us support the MND Association".
About motor neurone disease (MND) and the MND Association:
The MND Association was founded in 1979 by a group of volunteers with experience of living with or caring for someone with MND. Since then, we have grown significantly, with an ever-increasing community of volunteers, supporters and staff, all sharing the same goal - to support people with MND and everyone who cares for them, both now and in the future.
