James Cracknell, double Olympic Gold medallist and Atlantic rower, rowed to launch the 2013 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, alongside members of the 23 international teams who will row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic. Teams leave La Gomera on December 2nd 2013 and are hoping to arrive 40-50 days later in Antigua. The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is the world's toughest rowing race and this year includes Row2Recovery, a team of injured ex-servicemen; Atlantic Forces, an RAF team of two women and two men; Human Endurance, a Swedish solo rower, who is pedaling across the Atlantic in a canoe and other teams from Russia, Holland, France, Spain, UK and Denmark.
