The MOA is Back - 2012 IPA Online Media Owner Awards Now Open
LONDON, March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Who will win the top prizes in this year's IPA Media Owner Awards which launch today (28th March 2012) and are open for entry? Who will be voted as media land's unsung hero or best commercial director? Could you be sales newcomer of the year? And who will walk away with the award for best media owner of 2012?
Yes by popular demand the MOA is back! For the second year running the big pink flightless bird has returned to showcase best practice from online media owners, with the winners announced at a dazzling awards ceremony and dinner in November.
There will be 17 awards in total. Eight awards will be based on the findings of the IPA's Online Media Owner Survey (a combination of spring, autumn and year-on-year results).
Says Pete Robins, IPA Digital Media Group Chairman and Managing Partner Agenda 21 "The inaugural MOA generated a great deal of excitement and interest in the media community when we introduced them last year. We are looking to build on this success with the launch of the 2012 awards, as we continue to support excellence in our industry and showcase best practice. This is the only awards scheme of its kind in existence purely for online media owners so their importance, in both raising the bar, as well as rewarding outstanding performance, should not be overlooked."
Nine awards will be submission-based, and this year a new category has been added, for the most innovative product. If you think a winning trophy can be yours or would like to nominate a person or campaign, then the deadline for entry is 8th June 2012. Full entry criteria is now available on http://www.ipamoa.co.uk
The awards scheme identity draws its heritage from a moa; a large, now extinct, (although sometimes spotted at awards ceremonies!) New Zealand bird that walked the earth for 60 million years.
