Africa's newest and most dynamic celebration of media, the Mohamed Amin Africa Media Awards (MAAMA's), is gaining traction across the continent as the countdown moves inside three months. Almost 100 submissions from 13 countries, including 27 in the Best Documentary category, has framed a fine competition for top honors.
AFRICA24 MEDIA, partnering with MoSound Events, is ready to disclose its panel of distinguished judges for the May 20-22nd event, to be held right here in Nairobi. They include Africa Media Initiative Chairman Eric Chinje, former Head of News at CBC Canada, John Owen, CNN Journalist of the Year award winner Pete Murimi, Owner of Tele-10 Rwanda Eugene Nyagahene, former President of CNN Headline News Bob Furnad, and AU Ambassador Erieka Bennett.
