This year's event with a focus on smart transportation invites a number of well-known complete vehicle makers, telecom operators and software and hardware providers to display their cutting-edge products and technologies based on a smart city model. The event will give each of the leaders in their respective fields an opportunity to demonstrate their latest concepts by providing visitors with an excellent interactive experience.
IERC is an IoT research organization sponsored by the EU. At this year's event, IERC will introduce several sponsored projects sponsored under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7), for which players in China's IoT industry will compete. FP7 is a global science and technology development plan with the most investment in the EU.
Several senior officials from the European Union will attend the EU-China IoT Summit. The two principal themes of the summit are Global Challenges for IoT, and the Innovative IoT Development Platform. The four themed industry events of the conference are Internet of Vehicles, Smart Agriculture/Food Security, Smart Medicine and Smart City/Cutting-edge Technology, with each event lasting about one hour. EU-appointed subject matter experts will engage in parallel sessions where they will give topical lectures and host interactive communications sessions. Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. is also hosting EU-China IoT Business Matching Exchanges, inviting IoT companies from the four corners of the world to engage in lively discussions and develop relationships with European IoT companies and their research and development staff.
