The Finnish City of Oulu Invests in New Facilities

The growth of Oulu has been rapid in recent decades and the city has quickly become the center of the whole region, the Capital of Northern Scandinavia. The city center development will bring 300 million euros in private investment opportunities to the city center.

Oulu features the youngest population in all of Europe, and being one of the fastest growing urban areas in the North, the city center is also seeing major real estate investments. Oulu focuses on quality construction and the Oulu city center is developing towards big city look.

The Oulu city center comprises of three districts, and the development project includes measures such as constructing an underground parking space and a modern shopping center.

Oulu is also developing the city's airport area which, when completed, will consist of 10 hectares and 100,000 square meters of floor space for new businesses. The Airport City is a transportation hub that gathers growing businesses, airport hotels, office, and production facilities.

Theme Park Brings Nordic Myths into Life

Another interesting project planned in Oulu is the Kalevala Theme Park. Kalevala Park implements the epic experience environment and so enables you to escape to the World of Kalevala, land of the Nordic myths and stories of heroes. The total investment of the park is 13 million euros in phase 1.
