The Digital College (TDC) Offers New, Cost-effective Online Alternative to Instructor-led Construction Courses

Labourers will now be denied access to construction sites unless in possession of a Construction Skills Certification Scheme, (CSCS) - Green Card.

A new online service from The Digital College (TDC) offers a solution for non-skilled workers who require access to sites. TDC's online course provides a quick, easy and inexpensive way to secure the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment examination (now the prerequisite to gaining the CSCS Green card) and achieve immediate online certification. 

Previously, qualifying for the card was a long and a costly exercise, both for employee and employer - often requiring 3 or 4 days away from work and 3 or 4 days loss of income for the applicant. 

Developed by David Stephenson, MD of The Digital College, the new, online course aims to address these issues. With 20 years' experience in senior posts in the construction industry, Mr. Stephenson has worked on the TDC project for 10 years and has now perfected the system.
