WARSAW, Poland, November 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --
- The Canary Islands are bringing to the Zlote Tarasy shopping centre, from the 12th to the 17th of November, the best photographic illustration of one of their major assets: the best climate in the world
- The destination brings colour and warmth to the heart of the capital to encourage the Polish public to escape the cold and discover the marvels of these 7 Atlantic paradises
Promotur-Turismo de Canarias is launching the exhibition on "The Best Climate in the World" in Warsaw in order to bring the Poles closer to the tourist destination, with its highly privileged climate that allows enjoyment of its seven natural treasures all year round. The Archipelago also offers tourists 7 destinations in one courtesy of its 7 islands: Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera.
The exhibition will feature photographs that reflect the reasons why the Canary Islands have the best climate in the world: their mild average winter temperatures of 18ºC thanks to their particular geographical situation, the more than 4,800 hours of daylight a year which make their days long and sunny, their cloudless skies, the limited rainfall, the influence of the trade winds and their lush natural resources all make the Islands a paradise which is highly popular around the world.
Polish tourism in the Canary Islands
Poland is one of the fastest-growing markets for the archipelago. An average of 200,000 Poles visit the Islands each year. 42.1% relied on tour operators' brochures, 31.6% on travel agents and 21.1% on family and friends. Among searches for information about the destination, Wikipedia stands out as a source used by 42.1% of those interested in finding out more.
The key factors motivating Polish tourists to travel to the Canary Islands are the comfort, the hotels and the high-quality restaurants. 47.2% of those who travelled to the Islands did so as a couple, with travelling as a family the second most popular option for the Poles, at 17.9%.
The climate is the overriding factor for choosing the Islands, at 89.7%, followed by the scenery. Promotur-Turismo de Canarias has aimed to bring to the heart of the capital the best photographic illustration of the Canary Islands lifestyle, in the context of the best climate in the world.
